Q. What was your Internship project work and how did you enjoy working on it?
Ayan: My work focused primarily on examining the diversity and community composition of zooplankton within the lower salinity zone (LSZ) of the Ganges estuary (GE). This research provided me with a deep understanding of estuarine ecosystems and the critical role of zooplankton in aquatic food webs. I am very grateful to NGSF and my mentors for this invaluable opportunity. Their guidance and support were instrumental in my learning journey. As an intern, the experience of working in a research laboratory was exhilarating, fulfilling a long-held aspiration of mine. This hands-on experience not only enhanced my practical skills but also strengthened my passion for scientific research.
Q. How was your experience attending NGS Internship Program?
Ayan: I had a great time during my summer internship and gained valuable experience that will be very useful for my future research. The opportunity to work in a professional research environment allowed me to develop practical skills and deepen my understanding of my field. This experience has been instrumental in shaping my future research interests and goals.
