Q. What do you study and where?
Kashish: I am pursuing BSc in Life Sciences at Ramjas college, University of Delhi.
Q. Who was your PI and what was your host institute?
Kashish: My Principle Investigator at Amity University was Dr. Yogita Adlakha, who provided me with their priceless guidance and mentorship consistently throughout my internship.
Q. What was your Internship project workand How did you enjoy working on it?
Kashish: In this internship project, I was given the opportunity to work on the regulation of gene expression in neuronal development, a field that was entirely new to me as an undergraduate student. Despite this, I found the experience to be incredibly enjoyable and enlightening. Throughout the course of my internship, I was exposed to a number of new techniques that I found fascinating, and I am grateful for the valuable knowledge and experience that I gained as a result. This journey was amazing, and I am excited to apply my newfound skills in the future.
Q. How was your experience attending NGS Internship Program?
Kashish: During my internship, I made detailed notes about the new information that I acquired. My mentor provided invaluable advice and I gained a better understanding of my strengths and weaknesses. Not only did I develop my practical skills and improve my communication abilities, but I also discovered a passion for further exploration of certain topics. As an undergraduate student during that time, I developed a great habit of reading research articles daily.
