We conducted exclusive interviews with our interns and gathered insights into their unique experiences. Read below to know more about Ishatpreet’s journey!

Q. What do you study and where?

Ishatpreet: I’m a Biology Majors student doing an integrated BS-MS Degree at Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) Mohali, Punjab.

Q. How was your experience attending NGS Internship Program?

Ishatpreet: The NGSF Program, which provided me with a monthly stipend during my enriching 3-month internship, was an invaluable opportunity that left a profound impact on my academic and professional journey. This innovative initiative not only offered financial support but also fostered an environment for personal and intellectual growth.

One of the standout features of the NGSF Program was its emphasis on nurturing scientific curiosity. Being tasked with writing an article on a scientific field was a pivotal moment that propelled me into a realm of research and exploration. The challenge of distilling complex concepts into a comprehensible piece was both rewarding and enlightening. It not only enhanced my writing skills but also deepened my understanding of the chosen scientific domain.

Furthermore, the monthly stipend provided by the program played a crucial role in easing financial burdens and allowed me to focus wholeheartedly on my internship. This financial support demonstrated the program’s commitment to empowering young minds and enabling them to fully engage in their learning experiences.
