Science is something that not just gives us a proper understanding of a particular phenomenon but also gives us the power to see that phenomenon from a different perspective and as well as the power to change the perspectives of others to see that particular phenomenon. But with different perspectives come different opinions, different beliefs and different ‘hoaxes’ in our society which are still present and needs to be weeded out from our Modern 21st Century Society.
Hey! This is Sahastranshu Pandey, Bachelor of Science 2nd Year Student from Institute of Science, Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi. The human brain has always fascinated me, right from its complexity to its functionality. And the disorders associated with the brain have always given me a sense of challenge as to what happens inside them and what can be done to cure them as well as the ‘hoaxes’ regarding them. This is where Science Communication comes into function. I think Science Communication gives me the power to communicate with the masses and give them a new perspective about Science.
My articles will be related to Neurological or Brain Disorders that are often related in our society as “madness” or “something evil”. My purpose to communicate science is to give my readers a crystal clear explanation as well as a new perspective of what happens with the brain inside these Neurological Disorders, what are the causes and what can be done to alleviate them. My attempt will be, definitely, in the direction to reduce ‘hoaxes’ related to Neurological Disorders present in our society.
I think communicating science is important so that more and more young and bright minds can come up with unique solutions to “conquer” this mentality around Neurological Disorders and unlock more and more intricacies inside our human brain to our society.
